This talk presents a review of pulsed field ablation, also known as electroporation. In many clinical applications, the therapy goal is to selectively destroy targeted tissue. A basic overview of this relatively new tissue ablation modality is provided and the technique is compared and contrasted with more conventional thermal approaches. Recent advances in applications of pulsed field ablation to the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias are highlighted.
